More About Bank of Queensland

In 1887 the society was converted into a bank. In 1942 after merging with other financial institutions it became a trading bank. The group has been trading under the name “Bank of Queensland” since 1970. A year later the company was listed on Australian Stock Exchange.

In the history of its business operations the bank has acquired numerous financial and banking institutions including ATM Solution Australasia (2003), UFJ Finance Australia (2005) and more recently (2010) St Andrew’s Insurance and CIT Group Limited.

The group offers personal and business banking services. Retail banking covers every day money management solutions as accounts, saving and investment products, credit cards and personal and home loans and insurances.

Services for businesses include: business loans, transaction accounts, business charge cards and investment & statutory trust accounts.

Some of the services can be accessed via phone, mobile or internet.

The group operates through a network of 255 branches. Most of them are run by local owner-managers. As they run a small business, they can deliver more personal services.
